Heavy Brass offers a comprehensive and innovative approach to contemporary brass sounds through a virtual MIDI instrument, promising a powerful and authentic tone synonymous with live brass sections.

The app includes sampled Trumpet, Trombone, and Saxophone across four distinct brass sections, allowing for a diverse range of musical possibilities.

Minimum system requirements include iPad 3, iPad Air 1, or iPad mini 2. The app is compatible with Audio Unit v3, Inter-App Audio, and Audiobus for seamless integration with other applications. External MIDI keyboards and controllers can be connected via Lightning/USB cable or Bluetooth LE MIDI.

Featuring three primary sound categories—„Singles“, „Switches“, and „Combis“—Heavy Brass enables users to crossfade between different articulations for enhanced expressiveness.

 <li>Switch Sounds offer the flexibility to toggle between different articulations within select base sounds.</li>

General features of the app encompass low latency disk streaming, polyphony up to several hundred stereo voices depending on the device model, configurable audio latency, integrated effects, and more. Users can benefit from MIDI player/recorder functionality to record, save, and share songs in standard MIDI file format.

Furthermore, users can enjoy an array of additional features such as MIDI velocity response curve editor, master tune & scale tuning options, background operation capability, on-screen piano keyboard support, metronome functionality, and tempo adjustment tools for personalized playback experiences.
